Kevin M. Young MBA, EA, CFP®
Prior to joining Apella Wealth, Kevin worked in various leadership positions within the biotechnology industry before he eventually established his own wealth management firm, Young Wealth Management. Kevin is now the Senior Financial Advisor of our Davis, CA office. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional, an Enrolled Agent (EA) and a SEC Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). He received his Masters, Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in Financial Planning, from California Lutheran University. Kevin co-authored the 2010 PassKey EA Review Complete: Individuals, Businesses and Representation: IRS Enrolled Agent Exam Study Guide. Kevin enjoys road biking, skiing, taking after dinner walks with his wife Rosalia, and watching baseball games with his two post college-aged sons, Matthew and Michael.
Jean Yamamoto, MBA, MSW
Jean worked in municipal finance at UBS Financial Services and nonprofit finance at the Nonprofit Finance Fund. Jean is a SEC Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). She currently serves as Board President of the Davis Korean School and she volunteers for the Yolo Community Foundation's Yolo Youth Scholarship Award Committee. She holds a BA in English Literature from Swarthmore College, an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Columbia Business School. When she is not working, you can find Jean studying for her CFP exam, shuttling her three sons to their many, many after school activities and, on occasion, if she gets really lucky and has spare time, playing tennis.
